This week I doubled the traffic on my job board (RemoteFR🇫🇷) with Reddit. Setting up this automation took me less than 1h!
First thing first, I did it after seeing Rodrigo Rocco getting good traction that way.
The concept is super easy. Just post all your job offer on a dedicated subreddit.
1/ Create your #subreddit
Nothing is easier. Open the community selector in the top left corner and hit the Create Community" button.
Then, just choose a nice name and make your sub public! Of course, I choose r/remoteFR!
2/ Add content automatically
As I use Airtable as my database, I tested it first with a Zapier. #Nocode!
I created a Zap that posts every new Airtable record to the subreddit as a link post.
It took me 3 min!
As it worked like a charm, I coded a Javascript version of this bot. There are a ton of libraries to do it. I used snoowrap. It took me 30 min and 10 lines of code.
3/ Promote your Sub!
Once you have your sub with your job offer, you need to bring members. Pick a few #reddit communities that are in the same niche as you and promote your sub here (ask the mods if you're not sure about their self-promotion rules)
I already have 370+ members in less than a week, and it's growing!
And you, how do you feel about Reddit?
I can't recommend you enough to start thinking about how you could use it for your startup!
