How to grow your Twitter audience from scratch! All the things I learned during the last 12 months, growing my account to 10K followers A Step by Step guide👇 1/ Create the perfect Twitter Profile Your profile is why people check before following you (or not). That's SUPER important. There are thousands of Twitter accounts out there. Why should I follow you? ➡️ That’s the question your bio should answer to. ✨ Name: Choose a name that is easy to remember and to spell (not like me 😁) If the name you choose isn't available, add a prefix or use a separator. Don't use suffixes! It will be harder to find you via a Twitter search. ✨ Profile Pic: I highly recommend using your face when you're getting started. Use a nice shot of face + shoulder. Add color as a background. You want to stand out from others in the Twitter feed. ✨ Profile Banner: Use your banner as a marketing asset (make it actionable with a CTA!) It will be the first people will notice when they open your profile. Check how @tibo_maker is doing it perfectly: ✨ Bio: Use it to: • Show what kind of content you’re going to share • Show some credibility • Be actionable • Show what type of content you’re going to share One good example of a nice bio is @NotechAna: 2/ Get your first followers ➡️Choose a topic (the one in your bio) and stick to it. Post __DAILY__ content, like 2-3 times a day. What to tweet: • Tweet about what you’re doing and what you learned recently • Build in public • Create some visuals like @victor_bigfield ✨ Follow people in your niche: Identify the people in your niche, and start interacting with them. Make friends. That should represent 80% of your time, just engaging with others! Feel free to jump in the DM when you start making connections. ⚠️ Don't spam! ✨ Follow the micro-influencers: Follow the big accounts in your niche and try to add value below their tweets. Don't post if you don't have anything clever to say. But add value if you can. That can give you some boost of exposure! ✨ Write threads: Try to push one thread a week (recycle your blog post if you have some!) How: - The hook: the first tweet it’s about making people click to see more - The content: make it readable, not big pieces of text! - The CTA: the last tweet should be a CTA. ✨ Road to 1000+ followers To grow faster and get 1000 followers and more, you should apply some tactics like: - Using Twitter topics as SEO - Use tweet formats that works - Host some Twitter spaces - Start scheduling & automate your tweets 3/ Tools I use several tweets to grow my Twitter following: - @tweethunter to schedule & automate - @typefully for the threads - @iloAnalytics to monitor the performance - @BrandBirdApp for my visuals - @TweetDeck as a dashboard to monitor multiple accounts I hope you've found this helpful, I'll post in the comment the detailed version, check it out!
